The LG G5 officially revealed at Fermenting Cellar – Distillery District at the “Come and Play at the LG PLAYHOUSE” launch party. LG Playhouse theme brought all the attendances to find their inner child, the whole venue was changes into an arcade.

New product, LG G5 has taken a long makeover compared to the previous version such as G3 and G4.
The new design, showcases a series of innovative features that LG hope to open the audiences’ inner child.

LG G5 design is different from the past generations of LG and the design is made out of metal and the phone measures 7.7mm thick. The volume controls move to the side, leaving a power button with embedded fingerprint scanner on the back. However the best part of the LG G5 is the removable battery that is placed together on the bottom section of the phone.

LG G5 cameras is paired with a 16-megapixel sensor with a second 8-megapixel sensor. Therefore it has the normal laser autofocusing; 16-megapixel camera will operate as a standard camera, taking your high resolution shots exactly however the second camera has a 135-degree lens, so will take wide angle photos without any stitched panorama. Also, LG G5 features the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 octa-core chipset with 4GB of RAM. There’s 32GB on internal storage, along with a microSD card slot for expansion. The LG G5 battery has a capacity of 2800mAh and with the purchase of LG G5 you will receive the Quick Charge 3.0 and USB Type-C. The LG G5 launches on Android 6.0 Marshmallow similar to previous LG version but more innovative.

LG’s latest flagship smartphone is now widely available across Canada. The G5 and all its modularity – including the trio of Friends accessories – can now be purchased at several carriers, including Bell, Eastlink, Fido, MTS, Rogers, SaskTel, TELUS, Videotron and WIND Mobile. Depending on the carrier, the G5 ranges in price from $0 on contract to $800 outright.

There are currently three modular accessories available for the G5 in Canada: LG 360 Cam, LG Cam Plus and the LG 360 VR. Of course, in this case, Friends cost money and the LG 360 Cam is $299.99, LG Cam Plus is $99.99 CAD, and the LG 360 VR is $299.99.
