Toronto is literally in a shut down….but we are optimistic that the city will go back to the way it once was with maybe more mindful aspects. HotBlack Coffee would be an ideal place to experience when we can all socialise again. Before the COVID-19 social distancing rules, I walked around the coffee shop and found the place to be quaint and charming.

As a photographer, my eyes discovered all the sources of natural light as well as the lighting fixtures that were truly the main emphasis of the decor vision of the space.

In the edits, I wanted to emphasis the lighting of the shop because I thought it was one of the most noticeable features of the store, there were two opposing light sources.

The coffee shop is filled with delicious treats and the aroma of coffee lingers creating a very welcoming and local feel. I did enjoy the hustle bustle of the space. It is a narrow cafe with tight spots to sit but the team is super friendly, constantly on the go and creating a Best.Coffee.Ever experience.

When it’s safe out there again, do check it out. Till then enjoy their updates on their instagram @hotblack_coffee
