The ancient Chinese perspective aimed to balance the energy to ensure a healthy person’s well-being. That’s why it is a good reason to adopt these principles to improve your daily lifestyle.

Bed Placement is Key 

The main Feng shui bedroom is to have a bed in command position, which means when you are lying in bed, you should be able to see the door, avoid being in alignment with it. 

Balance Your Space 

The goal is having your bed easily approachable from both sides. The idea is to create enough space for you and a partner. The principle of balance in bedroom is very important. 

Be Mindful of what You Hang Overhead

It is all about the energy. Avoid bringing threatening energy above your head, keep it free and clear. Same about artwork, never hang it low, as it can bring you down emotionally. 

Watch out for Sharp Corners 

You need to watch out for sharp edges of furniture pointing toward the sleeper. They are one of the major forces of negative energy. Simply move or reposition the furnishings. 

Limit the Number of Mirrors

Mirrors that face the bed could be the culprit of a bad sleep. In Feng shui mirrors are though to bounce energy around the bedroom. The solution? To move them or cover them up at night. 

Aim for Peaceful Colors 

Neutrals are more likely to promote sensual and relaxing atmosphere in the room, they tend to be earthy colors, that represents stability, nourishment. 

The Air is Important

In order to maximize the flow of good energy it is important to have an abundance of fresh clean air. Try to open windows during the day and evening or use a good air-purifier to keep air clean. 

Lighting

Appropriate lighting is important, as it is thought to be the principle nutrient that energies and cleans the energy. Have several levels of lighting in your bedroom, from dimmer switch to night lamp with a focused pool of light or natural candles. 

Banish Technology

The bedroom is a place for rest and electronic devices can disturb your immune system and sleep. It is better to avoid them in the bedroom.

Reduce Clutter 

Keep it minimal. Avoid under bed-storage. Cluttered surroundings can lead to cluttered thoughts. Short with space? Better store pillows, throws towels under your bad so they will not obstruct the flow of energy.
